Well, I received so many good questions last week that I will have coupon contests for months to come! :) The question for this week comes from a combination of people. So, what I want to know this week is how much time do you spend in a week for your couponing/bargain shopping? Do you have a certain schedule or so you just fit it in wherever possible?
Leave me a comment and I will pick a random winner on Saturday morning for a whole new envelope of coupons! Thanks and good luck!

I spend probably anywhere between (gasp) 5-10 hours per week, depending on how many coupons I've accumulated and if there are good sales. No, you know, I probably spend atleast 5 hours on cutting/organizing/looking for coupons alone! (I'm not that organized so I try and fit it in when I'm overwhelmed or watching mindless tv!)
How many hours do you spend?
I probably spend about 1 to 2 hours a week depending on sales and the number of good coupons that come out.
I spend 5-10 hours depending on the week. It only takes about 2 hours to cut and file my coupons. I usually try to squeeze it in when I can do double duty (like when I am my family's house - we can talk and I can clip!)
I wish I could spend less - but I love to surf the blogs, so my most time consuming contribution.
Thanks for offering a giveaway!!!
Hrm...I don't really know how much time I spend per week - probably about 10 hours. I multi-task when I'm clipping/organizing my coupons, so that time varies. I tend to do it whenever I can - watching TV, playing with the baby, waiting for my husband in the car...etc. As for planning out my bargain trips, it probably takes about an hour depending on how many deals there are that week and how complicated they are. It seems like a lot of time, but I think of how much we've saved as a hourly wage, and the added bonus of being able to stay home, and it's one sweet job.
I look thru the ads and coupons on Sunday, but then I sit down on Monday or Tuesday night and really go thru everything. I'm just back in to couponing, and so I'd say, I'm spending a couple of hours weekly on it.
I've never figured it out before, but I can do it now:
* Sunday morning- review ads and savings websites to find my best "sale + coupon" deals for the week (Time spent: 1 hour)
* Sunday evening- clip coupons out of weekly inserts, sort into coupon box (Time spent: 2 hours)
* Tuesday (usually, sometimes Wednesday): A shopping trip, hopefully built into an errand I already have to do (Time spent: 2 hours)
* Thursday/Friday/Saturday: Preview the following week's coupons, ads, etc. to prepare for Sunday through Wednesday again! (Time spent: 1 hours)
Total time spent: 6 hours
I usually spend about 5 hours for cutting, finding and shopping. On Sunday's I sit down and review adds/organize coupons. Shopping is done usually Mondays. On Saturday's I menu plan so I know what I need to look for on Sundays.
I probably spend about 10 hours a week on cutting/sorting/filing coupons, looking for deals, planning shopping and putting together deals. I probably spend another 2 hours or so shopping each week. I think 12 hours a week is great for the amount of money we save each week.
I usually spend, I think, about 5 hours when I take into consideration the time at the store. I use a lot of websites to find out where the deals are and make sure to bring the appropriate coupons. With gas prices the way they are that is usually done in one to two days a week where one day is preparing and the next is shopping. It really does Pay ( or save ) to coupon :)
Yeah - I bet I spend at least 5 hours a week cutting, thinking it thru, and researching. But I save us tons of money and I consider it a sport!!!
Thanks for including me.
I don't follow any set plans. The only store we have super close is Walgreens. So, whenever I'm out doing other things, I try to plan ahead and have all of that stores deals marked down for easy shopping. I have no idea how much time I spend on cutting and organizing - I usually do it while watching tv.
I spend at least five hours a week currently but am hoping that once I get to know our new town and have mastered the store layout it won't take me as long.
I wake up 2 hours earlier than everyone else in the house and coupon then! It is relaxing and very quiet!
I would say I probably spend 4-5 hours a week. 2 hours clipping and sorting and another 2-3 hours looking at sales and reading blogs on sales and best deals.
I spend about 3 hours a week for everything. As I read Money Saving Mom I print some coupons and as I sit at night after the kids go to bed I cut out those and the ones from the paper. We don't have many stores in my area so it doesn't take long to figure out any deals. Plus with MSM she gives me most of my deals and I don't have to think much.

I probably spend just a couple of hours actually organizing my coupons/planning a trip, but a lot more time just reading bargain blogs! I've just gotten into to it, but I may have to cut back a little. ;-)

I spend one to two hours clipping and organizing each week and then about three hours or so using them.

I hate to admit this, but all in all (finding the deals, cutting and organizing coupons, and actual shopping) I spend around 15 hours/week on this stuff...but I find some awesome deals! lol
That's a good question I've never keep up with the time. I'm going to guess and say about 5 hours.

I used to spend only about two hours, but I'm ramping up now to go full bore! I want to be a super shopper.
I am new to all this so I dont have a schedule yet. So I just do it when ever.
i spent one whole day a week to coupons, giveaways and free samples
I would have to say that I spend about 3 hrs a week on couponing. This includes printing, cutting and organizing. It takes me about 2 hrs to go to the stores and use them! So worth all the time!
i just fit in it whenever. I work full time but usually when I come home I will look thru ads and go through coupons. I never figured out how long I spend on it!
I spend an hour or two every single day just because I blog. I spend a lot less time when my husband is gone than I do when he is here (he gives me extra eyes to watch the kids). Normally I wait till the kids are all asleep and I get "me" time to wind down.
As far as couponing in relation to my shopping, I will spend a lot more time the night before shopping day making sure I have my lists correct and my coupons all clipped.

I usually spend about 2-3 hours weekly to clip all of my coupons from newspapers (alot of people give me theirs too).
And, I spend about 2-3 hours looking up and printing coupons online to match them up with store sales!
Some friends and family think I am crazy, but they are then so impressed at the stuff I get for so little money!

I like to spend some time of Sunday getting the new coupons, looking at sales flyers and then planning meals and making lists. Now that we are back to doing school at our house, I need to limit it to 5 hours/wk (not including actual shopping time). I just substituted it for any TV I was watching. And I consider it a hobby that serves my whole family. Thanks for the giveaway!
I only spend about an hour or so cutting coupons and such, but money is tight, so I'll probably get more into it in the future.
I spend a couple hours a week gathering coupons--this includes collecting from my neighbors, friends and family that don't use coupons. I, however, spend 5 or so hours on the net looking for the great deals from other posters and web coupons.
My schedule is nuts between 2 jobs right now, so unfortunately I don't have a very set schedule - I just fit it in wherever there is time! Couponing is my hobby and something I find relaxing, so it's what I do after work in lieu of watching TV/video games/etc. As for the actual amount of hours - well, like the rest of my schedule, it changes constantly! I'm hoping to have a more stable routine for clipping/shopping/etc as my schedule calms down in the fall.
Thank you for offering this contest! :)
I spend about 5-10 hours per week.
Thanks, michelle@tolsondrug.com
I spend about 5 hours a week. That includes going through the paper and doing my research online. It is time consuming but worth it. I have 4 kids. Any dollar I can save is GREAT!!!
Hmmm..I haven't really counted. I just try to fit it in whenever. I do spend quite a bit of time on Sundays going through the ad's.
Depending on the week I spend 1-4 hours. This is mainly looking for deals, but cutting out coupons too. Since I put them in a binder with baseball card holders it is easy to see what I have, what is expried, and where new ones need to go. This has greatly reduced my time fooling with the coupons and allows me to search for deals. Sometimes it is all in one block of time, other times it is over my lunch time.
I spend about an hour or two each week.
I spend alot of time coupon hunting, but less time in the actual store. Id say 5 hours a week in the store. I strive to spend less than $5 at a time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
Monday I spent about 3 hours. I am just starting out so I have no clue what I am doing. Hopefully I can get it down to 1 hour a week.
I spend aout 1 to 2 hours a week clipping, surfing for coupons I need for my grocery list and planning out my CVS, Walgreens, & Walmart trips.
Wow, I've never figured out how much time I spend. Probably 5 hours a week, although alot more if you count the blog surfing for deals. I try to cut and file my Sunday coupons by Tuesday and plan out groceries with the ads that come on Tuesday. I really should figure out how much time I really spend.

Probably about 5 hrs for clipping, filing and shopping. Thanks katie_mmartin at yahoo dot com.
My estimate on clipping, searching for Internet coupons, reviewing ads, organizing the shopping lists, and then doing the actual shopping is 3-4 hours per week. That doesn't count all the time I spend reading everyone's interesting blogs while I'm hunting for bargains!!!
